Built on Referrals and Inspired By Trust Since 2004
My name is Raoul Davis. I am the Founder and CEO of the Ascendant Group, an agency which I founded back in 2004. I created the Ascendant Group because I realized that there were few reliable solutions in the PR world. You could hire a large agency for a $50,000-$100,000 monthly retainer or a freelancer for $3,000 a month. But in the end the results were the same, a lot of luck was required to get placed in the media. Sometimes it worked out, sometimes it didn’t, but whether it worked out or not, you were sure to get the bill at the end of the day.
I saw an opportunity to create something better. You don’t walk into a car dealership, pay for a car, and expect to walk out with just a pair of tires. That’s why I founded the Ascendant Group, the only global agency that doesn’t just talk the talk, it walks the walks.
I appreciate you taking the time to view our page and I hope we can work together soon.

How can you have a minimum media placement guarantee?
Our media placement guarantee program goes back about 8 years when we realized the biggest pain point in PR was lack of certainty. As one client put it, buying PR services is like “walking into a Mercedes dealership, paying for a Mercedes, and then maybe driving it off the lot. Or maybe just leaving with a pair of tires.” We sought to eliminate the uncertainty in the PR model which often involves opaque monthly retainers with little guarantee of results. Once we realized the majority of our campaigns were performing at a certain level, we saw the opportunity to guarantee that performance to all of our clients and back it with a money-back refund.
How large is your company?
Our company has 20 employees in the US offices and additional employees and contractors globally.
Does your company specialize in a particular industry?
Our company is industry-agnostic. We have represented insurance, finance, pharma, biotech, auto, and numerous other industries. We don’t believe a PR firm should niche in a particular industry because if you are constantly pitching the same industry story to your reporter contacts, well they won’t be your contacts much longer.
I am not sure that we are ready for TV, does your agency provide media training or online-only campaigns?
Yes, we can provide media training to make your executive TV-ready and we can also limit the placements to just online and print if that is your preference.
Are most of the TV interviews over Zoom?
The current Covid-19 situation is ever-changing so the TV interviews are often over Zoom but may require travel to the station in some cases.
